Healthmate Saunas

When you’re shopping for a sauna for your home no doubt you will come across Healthmate saunas because the company is one the largest infrared sauna manufacturer in the field and offers a superb product with a lifetime warranty.

Health Mate saunas use top-grade western red cedar in all their kits and have models available to seat between one and five people.

Health Mate infrared saunas come with the company’s patented Far Infrared Heater. Infrared heat penetrates an inch-and-a-half into the body, providing a deep heating effect without putting undue stress on the heart. This causes the body to perspire and release the bad stuff it has collected, such as toxins, sodium, alcohol, nicotine and cholesterol. The skin rids itself of old cells and you emerge from the sauna feeling as clean as you have ever been, with glowing skin and better tone.

Researchers in Japan and China have led the way in studying the effects of infrared heat, provided in Healthmate saunas, and have concluded that it provides the benefits of a cardiovascular exercise program without the exercise. This is because it causes the heart to beat faster and pump more blood. Weight control benefits compare an infrared sauna to running six to nine miles. While weight loss is regained through drinking water, the calories lost remain lost.

Health Mate saunas with the safe, natural infrared heating system, offer a number of advantages when compared to a traditional home sauna. Warm-up time is only 15 to 20 minutes, compared to more than an hour for conventional models. Inside temperature is a steam-less 110 to 150, compared to the high humidity 200 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit for conventional models.

Health Mate infrared saunas can be put together in half-an-hour, compared to a one to two-day construction period for conventional models. They come with a built-in audio system, which competitors can’t match due to the high temperatures their systems produce. Electrical costs are very low, while conventional models are quite expensive. It fits in a very small space and is portable, while conventional kits need a larger space and once installed they are there to stay.

When you’re dealing with Healthmate saunas you’re talking to a company that has been an industry leader since 1979, with facilities around the world. Their kits carry major national and international certifications and product liability insurance. Their knowledgeable staff has been in business for years and can answer any question you can throw at them.

I bought a Health Mate Far Infrared Sauna from the National Sales Director of PLH Products, Inc. It is an NSE-3 model with fiber optic "starlight" therapy. After plugging it in the control panel starts to BEEP for about 8-10 beeps and then goes quit for a while and then starts beeping again. The sauna isn't running, only plugged in. The display panel does not display any codes or other signs that there is a problem when the beeping is occurring. All features work fin but I have this beeping that wakes me up at night so I keep it unplugged until I'm ready to use it. However, I don't like the beeping when I'm trying to relax in the sauna. Can anyone help me with this issue.

The problems with Healthmate are well known in the industry. They produced over (4) different generations of power control boxes and control pads all by different companies in both China and Korea. If you own a green color control pad the issue you are most likely experiencing is glue sticking behind the outside skin. This coupled with a control box that is under rated for a sauna application. It's truly a horrible problem that can ultimately cause damage to your sauna's heaters or worst FIRE.

We (www.fixmysauna.com) and (healthmateparts.com) have come up with a solution that replaces your control pad with mechanical buttons and we re-engineer your control box so you don't have power issues. However, you have to send the parts to us so we can rebuild them. Being that you're in New Zealand you unfortunately have the disadvantage of shipping costs.

Healthmate doesn't care and frankly they would just rather sell you a new sauna at "50% off" where they sell you an inferior sauna that most likely break again and they won't have parts.

We've serviced thousands of infrared saunas and believe us Healthmate electronics are the worst. Feel free to give us a call at 1-877-988-2111 or email us at parts@fixmysauna.com. We can try and work out a deal with you on the shipping costs and get your sauna back up and running again.
